JamesEdition is one of the leading global classifieds sites for luxury real estate, cars, yachts and jets with more than 10 years in the business. We have over the years built a platform and brand that attracts thousands of users every day through a multitude of marketing channels from all over Western Europe, North America, South America and Asia. Now we are now looking for someone to lead our efforts in paid user acquisition channels.

In 2018 we started building JamesEdition 2.0. Today we have a new agile team focused on transforming our business into a product-driven high-growth classifieds platform. In our core segments we are experiencing high double-digit or triple-digit growth, and we continue to push ourselves to the limit and iterate fast to reach success. 

Our team is spread out across Europe, and as a remote-first organization (people choose where to work with complete freedom), we offer flexible location options. We consider ourselves a modern goal-oriented organization with a flat hierarchy, minimum bureaucracy, and high responsibility. 

For this role we are looking for someone who loves to think strategically, but also work hands-on operationally. Even though we are ten years in the business, make no mistake - the startup mentality is present every day in every decision we make. JamesEdition today is only a fraction of what we want to become, and this is the mindset that you have to possess. You are able to break down goals into digestible pieces and plans that are easy to understand and execute on. You have the capability to create ambitious plans by constantly looking for new pockets of growth, prioritize what's most important today and deliver on goals in time.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  1. Develop, along with the VP of Marketing, overall objectives, strategy and budgetary needs for our digital campaigns
  2. Oversee scoping, capacity planning, and execution workflow for digital marketing and lead generation activities in partnership with cross-functional internal stakeholders
  3. Identify and share best practices for audience targeting and database hygiene, tracking instrumentation and digital channel measurement
  4. Lead automation initiatives to improve processes and productivity, enabling digital marketing to scale with high bars on quality and efficiency
  5. Manage overall timelines and budgets for production of digital media activities across all paid channels. Primary point of contact with advertising agencies, and applicable vendors to ensure effective execution of all tactics.
  6. Develop and analyze digital channel performance metrics to drive future marketing decisions and optimize lead acquisition and activation strategy
  7. Give input on optimization of email, landing page, and marketing activity in Sendgrid, on site and other martech tools
  8. Coordinate weekly results and optimization meetings to ensure ongoing clarity on strategy, tactics, goals, and performance for digital channels are communicated within the company

Your success will be based on how efficiently you can drive buyer and seller leads to the JamesEdition platform using a combination of paid channels. You will have significant resources in terms of tools and budgets to reach your goals.

Skills & Requirements

What we would like to see from you:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and experience from platform businesses, marketplaces, classifieds, eCommerce, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-tech digital marketing role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of demand gen, and general digital marketing best practices
  • Proven track record of creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include multiple channels, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights
  • Knowledge of testing and measurement practices to optimize ROI and evolve strategy
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and Facebook Ads
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to prioritize multiple projects at a team level.
  • Not afraid to try new things – driven to constantly improve results
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot quickly and problem-solve collaboratively
  • Experience working with creative and operations agencies in an outsourcing capacity
  • Fluent English skills (a second language, such as Spanish or French is highly valued)
