Role description

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a passion for sales to join an entry-level position at JamesEdition (working fully remote). We are looking for a motivated English-speaking sales representative for our classified sales team. The International Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for initiating and closing sales in our core territories including Europe, US, Asia and Australia, through an established pool of existing clients as well as developing new customer contacts and client relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales to agencies and dealers in Real estate and Cars in line with the sales policy and objectives set by the Head of Sales to maximize sales revenue.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Canvass for new business from peers and competitors to grow markets and increase revenue and market share
  • Maintain and service existing classified advertisers on a regular basis to build long- term relations
  • Maximize the number of calls, both incoming and outgoing, and ensure the optimum percentage of time is spent on the telephone to new and existing clients to maximize selling opportunities. Call rates should be a minimum of 30 per day with an average “talk time” of two hours.
  • Remain consistently aware of clients’ circumstances, business/market trends, online marketing changes and budgets to remain informed and maintain a high level of professionalism
  • Utilize all available sales aids and marketing information to convert classified business across all relevant verticals
  • Collect a minimum of one testimonial per week that can be used as evidence of success to future advertisers
  • Keep the Head of Sales informed of queries/complaints and deal with them in order to maintain good client relations
  • Maintain organized correspondence and contact-management records in our CRM system to enable results follow-up and analysis
  • Initiate ideas to help build and develop classified features to enable JamesEdition to maintain our position as a global market leader

Skills & Requirements

Who we are looking for:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a sales role
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Fluent English.
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with a diverse range of people at all levels
  • A methodical approach to work and detail conscious
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
